Eating: Week 1

Eating during the first week of treatment was a continuation of the indulgences of pre-treatment eating.  My tastes are still unchanged, and there was no discomfort in my ability to eat.

During my chemotherapy infusion, the dietician provided a consultation.  She noted a few of restrictions on my diet, such as the raw/undercooked foods.  However, she said I could still have them for a week or so.

So of course we went to sushi that night and tried out Arami.  And while eating sushi, we might as well have some wagyu beef (though I'm pretty sure this wasn't the certified A5 wagyu, but still tasty).

We also went to Tanta that week.  That was the post-move dinner as it was the last one with my family in town.  The ceviches and fried rice dish were as good as I remember them, though the plantain chips were woefully soggy and not crisp.  At least I was able to enjoy a cocktail that night.

My taste was still intact for the weekend, which allowed me to enjoy the tasty wedding food from the Dalcy, Peninsula and Small Cheval.  The salads and desserts are worth a special mention.  I also took pride in my ability to eat 1.5 burgers during the Sunday brunch, all part of my effort to keep my weight up.
